O.K. so i took a test yest and it was neg... took one this am with my first urine of the day and it was a light pos.... then took two more today and they are neg....i just started spotting a little brown discharge... (not blood)... am i pregnant??? can you get a poss test if you are NOT pregnant???

It's always possible to get a negative when you truly are pregnant, however it's extremely rare to get a false positive.
The test that you are using is designed to find a hormone that your body only produces mass amounts of when you're pregnant.
So, you could be getting a false positive, but it's highly unlikely. Go to a doctor and get a blood test done. Then you'll have the answer you're looking for. :)

False positives (when the test is positive but you're not pregnant) are rare but possible. The pregnancy test checks for a hormone in your urine that's only present when you are pregnant, but it takes a while for it to build up in your system enough to register on the test. They often suggest to use your first morning urine because that urine is the most concentrated, so if the hormone is present it's most likely to show in the morning's urine, even if it doesn't show later in the day.
The brown spotting you're having could be implantation bleeding. If it only lasts a day or two, that's probably what it is. If it becomes red and/or lasts more than two days, it's probably your period.
I'd wait a few more days and then test again, or go to your doctor and get a blood test (they can detect a pregnancy sooner than the home tests can). I tested (at home) the day after my implantation bleeding stopped (it lasted 2 days, barely) and I was negative, but then I tested 5 days later and it was positive! Don't take any more today, or tomorrow - you'll just drive yourself batty!

haha in your question its says poo and i was like what the hell! but its very unlikely that you would get a false pos but i would do a test in a couple of days to be sure cause the first moring urine has the strongest hcg levels so yes it could be possible for the ones later that day to be neg
and dont worry about the blood i bled on both of mine and i have a 2 year old and i have 4 weeks left!

The only way to get a positive test and not be pregnant is if you are on any fertility medications or if you are reading the test after the time limit. Test with first morning urine only, it is the highest concentration of hormones. If you continue to test through the day, you are diluting your hormones with anything you drink.

its always more common to get a false neg than a falsse pos. if you believe there is a chance that you might be preg. dont take any chances and go see your dr or even a free clinic
