It depends on the situation.
You have not given enough information for anyone to give an objective opinion.
What do you mean by "affair"?
Date or Cheat?
If you mean cheat on your husband or try to steal another guy from his wife then definitely not.

No. Your employer is unwise to do so. Most labor laws provide protection from lawsuits and other legal action for companies and management who restrict their interaction with their employees to job-related issues. All bets are off when the employee or employer go out of bounds.
Let's say that you get a raise, promotion or plum assignment. Employee morale suffers.
Oops, you take cut in pay, are laid off or assigned to a dead-end position. You could argue that the affair was over so you were dumped.
Your employer/manager does well, is promoted and finds a new flame. The new boss is not interested in you other than your job productivity. The sweet deal ends. If your job performance problems were ignored by your lover but noticed by the new boss, you're gone.
Most of the time, the manager/employer is counseled and re-assigned when an affair comes to light. The employee is typically fired. Your loss.
Company romances usually do not turn out well between workers and management.

What do you think? Is it OK to have an affair with your employer. When you say the word affair I read it as one of you are married? And if that's true leave it alone. Your playing with fire. You can lose your job. That's a dumb idea. And if do and after this affair is over your going to feel like ****. And if he the boss he going to treat you like you never did any thing because he going to have to.So if your in the business of that you think nothing of yourself.

couple ways to interpret this...affair as in YOU are cheating on your husband with your boss, or HE is cheating on his wife with you, or you're BOTH cheating on your spouses. in any situation, ITS HORRIBLE! stop asking for trouble! and if its just a relationship with your employer, you should quit your job if you really want him, or just give it up. its not really worth being unemployed. good luck and i hope you make a good decision!

no. if you do then your employer will start favoring you at the work place and this will make other employees disgruntaled. Not to menson it is unethical and remember this. . .if you do and it ends then so does your job. Do you want to get fired? Didn't think so. Don't do it.

It's not a good idea, unless you can keep your business and your pleasure separated, but most people can't do it. It always ends up all screwed up in the end.

Is it against employee policy? They say do not mix business with pleasure but if you can seperate the 2 then go for it.

Nothing but trouble, and in the end, you'll probably lose your job, or have to quit.
