After watching a trailer for the upcoming movie Transformers, I really wanted to learn more about Beagle 2. I found out that it was actually a British spacecraft that was lost on the surface of Mars, but I couldn't find anything on it's last transmission. Any additional info on this would be great! Thank you.

Beagle 2 was the lander being launched from the esa-probe Mars Express, currently orbiting mars.
There was no Transmission from Beagle 2 cause it was intended to have it plunge into the martian atmosphre while being in hybernation.
A sensor system triggered by the g-forces should have waked Beagle2 up and make it start initiating his landing procedures, which should proceed autonomous without sending any data.

unfortunately something must have gone wrong and it was believed that the sensor was ineffective, so Beagle probably came down to the surface while still in deep sleep.

Later pictures from Mars Global Surveyor seemed to show slight evidence that the landing system triggered and initiated itself, but at a too late time. Contributing to that was a release stating that the atmosphere the particular day Beagle should land was thinner than expected, making the sensors trigger too late.

So however Beagles last transmission never actually happened, cause it was intented to let him send after touchdown, but the lander did not make it to the surface in healthy state.

The official line is that it never call home, they suspected it either malfunctioned after it landed or crashed.

The new Transformers is supported by the US Air Force, so they use a lot of US and US Air Force stuff, including Americanized the Beagle 2.

Supposedly, the last transmission from the Beagle 2 was that of a crater on mars. The Beagle 2 does not actually transmit a language like speech, it only transmits data, like photo's and other data.

I'm not sure there were any transmissions from Beagle 2 - certainly nothing from the surface.

Here's some info on the spacecraft. I still don't understand why if a mission is unsuccessful people invent some conspiracy theory about it. Top Secret -- oh come now ....
