Either one can make an impressive painting, but don't combine them together in one painting. Use the angels if you're looking for a more religious look. Fairies are kind of sexy, so keep that in mind before choosing what you want to create.

based on my modest understanding, they are, essentially, from different realms. perhaps one could say they are entirely different "species", and they serve different purposes, although their activities can overlap to some degree. both are exceedingly kind and benevolent. thus "which is best (better)? may not apply. a good book on angels is *angels: companions in magick* by RavenWolf. happy solstice ;-)
