because they have pea-sized brains.
That's why they are all brain dead.Fog lights are to be used as the title suggest "FOG"and not as 24h/7d driving lights.Fog lights are more brighter than low beam driving lights and are doing more harm than good for our visions. Our iris the part of the eye that controls the amount of light that enters our eye is wide open during night time driving and being subjected to intense light by these fog lights. That is probably why a majority of drivers eye-sights are deteriorating and having a harder time trying to see the road at nighttime. Now you have drivers that can't see the roads good at night and they in turn starts buying vehicles equipped with fog lights or installing after market fog lights on their vehicles and now you a chain reaction.Remember our gift to see is priceless and not being able to see is worthless. If you have to use your fog lights remember to turn off your fog lights when there is oncoming traffic and to leave them off during daytime.

Perhaps its a festive thing that the half wits who drive round with their fog lights on when not needed think its christmasy!
I'd automatically double the insurance of any young driver who has front fog lights fitted to their cars. Driving with them on and having your stereo doesn't make you look clever, it makes you look a muppet.

The average car driver (especially true of large German cars) relies on the car itself to do the majority of their thinking, and will use the maxim "if some is good, more must be better", therefore using all the available lights. They only succeed in making themselves look ignorant.

As misconception that all fog/mist requires foglamps, not just 150m of visibility. Most recent cars turn off the foglamps when the sidelights are turned off.

well if theres fog, the tighter beam penetrates farther through fog, improving visibility. i have a set on my pickup, more as a supplemental to the factory lights ( the stockers arent as bright as my driving lights ) but they are aligned EXACTLY as my low beams are so unless you are really trying to be a pain in the ****, you wouldnt know the difference

Because they are idiots. Still if they are behind you, dip your mirror and put your rear fog light on. Then you get to annoy them without the hassle in return.

I drive with my fogs all the time during the dark hours, it gives you that much more vision to see the center line & shoulder especially when it's raining or snowing.
If I am driving my Dodge Ram Truck, if some of those boozo's that high beam me with my fog lights being on, I flick on my highbeams which powers on my row of four 85W PIAA fog lights on my bull bar.....This lights them up and they shut the highbeams off pretty damn quick!

I find driving close behind with my high beams on usually helps them find the switch.
