I have just completed my website www.billiechainey.com/ebook/

it's an exciting story and I know that it would sell. What do I do to get into the top positions on search engines?

Hi there billie77

There is more to this than meets the eye.

I have just had a look at your site that is listed above and there is a conflict of interest on this page.

You must give the search engines a reason to list you high in their rankings.
If you do a search for say "ebook" you will see how the top scorers have written their home pages based around a certain "Keyword". This is also written around other strong "trailer Keywords" to compliment the main "keyword.

Ideally your home page is say 300-400words long this "Main Keyword" would appear in these words 10-15 times. If its 600 words long throw that keyword in another 3-4 times. Try also starting a sentence and finishing the odd sentence with that "Main Keyword".

Try and keep it to one main keyword to a page and Do Not have it 2 long. If it works out long split it into another page. Work on the theroy that 600words is ideal. DONOT over use these keywords or it will backfire and the spider will acuse you of spaming your pages with that keyword.

Then you can write another page with another Keyword say based on (rsd) to use your phrasing.
Do the same with the next "keyword" say parkinsons disease.
Then one on say the children of god.

Do you get the drift?

The spiders that search your site will then see more than 1
page with great "content" which tells them that you are
worth having a look at.

SO briefly we have covered content and keywords the next is linking.
I see you have ads on your site thats good for you to make money but you need to have links to other sites relevant to what your site is about but not to relevant to have your traffic click away and not come back.
Its hard enough to get people there without losing them straight away so this needs to be done with caution.
If you are offering great content which in my view you are you should be able to get a good link out to another site relevant to yours. The key here is to have that site link back to you. AHA link back to you?? Y you may ask?

Well my internet friend, this will tell the search engine spider that if some ones linking back to you you do have GREAT content and they are willing to share their traffic with you so it must be good!!!

Do you see briefly how this is done?

This information cost me a lot of hard earned money and lost revenue I dont like to give it away but I have found you and am in a giving mood (must be the silly season huh?)so its yours.

There is thousands and thousands of people doing this and doing that but this basically is how it works.

If you spend some time in some great forums and participate in them they will let you add a small "add" link back to your site. If the forum/blog is good enough this too will add to your linking and get some good results in the search engines.

I hope this helps you Billie77

If there is anything I can help you with PLEASE feel free

All the best to you
Happy holidays!

Most search engines (ex. Google) do not accept payment for a higher ranking. Instead, you should first submit your site to search engines. There are different ways to do this depending on which search engine it is, but the method is similar. For Google, submitting a site map would help. This way, Google not only has your hompage in its listing, but also all other pages and sub-domains of your website. Having other websites that link to yours also helps improve your ranking. Hope this helps, and good luck!

Either pay a lot of money or try to get it listed on as many other web sites as possible. Search engines base position partly on popularity.

You pay the web site, or your web site is visited so frequently and has so many word matches with people's searches that you are promoted in ranking.
