I find that most people in the world are pessimistic or consider themselves to be "reasonable" and, as a result, give up on their dreams. Why is that?

Obviously, you have to take action on your dreams. Otherwise, they'll never come true. However, most people give up even before they take any action. Some people take action, but give up after a few failures. Why?

This is a fact... you never truly fail at anything until you give up or die. Until then - regardless of the circumstances - you're simply overcoming obstacles standing in the way between you and your goals.

In the end, when you're buried and dead, history may prove that the reality of life prevented some of your dreams from coming true. But had you not believed in your ability to achieve your goals, NONE of them would have.

The thing that distinguishes truly great people from the masses is often their relentless belief in themselves. Many of us sit on the sidelines believing they just got lucky - when in fact - the only thing that made the difference in their lives was their faith, drive, and ability to look past any obstacle or setback.

a dream for me is like a passion - it's my motor to even do the things I don't like ... and maybe it will guide me to a direction that makes it possible to achieve my dream ...
Even if I, at the end of your life, haven't achieved my dream .. I will at least know that it has helped me to live by my own goals - gutfeelings ... and that's enough
'cause a dream can never be a goal -- a dream is in se something that seems unreachable, otherwise it would be too easy and couldn't be considered as "a dream" anymore, it's something you can't lose in my opinion but can gain eventually
why give up on it ?

It depends if your dreams are achievable.
You need to be realistic about this. The higher you set the goal... the harder it is going to be.

Maybe you can achieve it... but at a great cost to your personal life... as you will spend most of your time working and saving in order to achieve your objective.

You have to ask yourself... Is it worth it?
Is it worth working like a dog for 40 years without fun... so that you can have some fun when you retire at 60?

Because its so much easier to quit and blame the Jews/blacks/Christians/Whites. Nothing short of a act of God can stop a truly determined person from achieving their dreams.

You have to hold on whilst not giving up and work towards your dreams.

You can waste your life by passing up decent pleasures and rewards if they don't fit your dream, especially your dream spouse.

im reasonable....i dont leave myself to dreams, but ofcourse i dream and i always try to make these dreams come true and i never give up on them, but if they dont come true i dont get sad coz they r dreams, its hard to come true thats why we call them dreamz. once i saw sm1 on tv that said (if u hold on to your dreams and work for them they will come true) so never give up on your dreams...coz human is nothin without them
