What dismal performance, in all the ODI's, except the last, India was on top for the first 25 -35 overs of the game. They had S A on the trots in all of them and every time they faltered and let them of the hook.
1st ODI: 3 for 63 and Kallis played a brilliant innings.
2nd ODI 7 for 136 till Hall and Kemp blasted India out of the game
3rd ODI 6 for 155 till Gibbs and Pollock pulled them through.

If India had good 3,4 and 5th bowlers, the story could have been different and top of it, Indian batsmen were terrible and terribly out of form.

With Laxman and Ganguly returning it added to its experience and depth of the batting.

Look at S A batting, it has also failed, except one who just pulled them out as the indian attack was weak in terms 3, 4th and 5 th bowler. This will not be case in teat and even 3 bowlers can do the job as was done by Sreesanth, Zaheer and Kumble. Hence, if Munaf comes (if Fit) replacing VRV Singh, SA Batsmen are going to have a tough time.

Hence, it is not true that SA let India win. The game was won by a team playing better cricket and not leting any opportunity to slip by.

No, South Africa lost it (because it was fixed) !

By the way, do you know that India lost 0-4 in the ODI series because Ganguly paid the Indians to lose it badly so that he can get into the team !!

I bet it was fixed cause theres much gambling in SA than anywhere else with those rich diamond and gold tycoons out there. I guess the bookies had much to lose had India lost. The good thing is that our players are clean cause nobody bribes losers :)

I can understand why you feel that way but India won the first test match regardless. I don't think S.A. is interested in giving away a match to make friends. If it was pakistan I would tend to agree with you a little more.

It is totally unfair to have such thoughts in the mind. Credit must be given to India for their excellent performance in the first test instead of putting a shadow of suspision.
