Im just curious to know, when a woman finds out she is pregnant and tells her husband/partner, do they stop having sex relations until after the baby is delivered or do they continue to do such relations while she is pregnant or does this hurt or effect the baby? Does it depend on what month of pregnancy she is in that effects the result or what exactly?

I never stopped and I was advised by my doctor that sex can speed the birth process at the end of my term along with walking because all you will want is for those last days to hurry up. But because every woman is different you really should seek sound advice from your gynecologist because your individual health history and need may dictate something entirely different. Some women are even put on bed rest not even allowed to walk around.

There's no reason to stop unless the doctor says that there is a problem. It's safe to have sex during all points of pregnancy up until her water breaks. The baby is safe inside the womb and can not be reached or harmed.

Near the end of pregnancy having sex can actually help stimulate labor.

A pregnant woman might correct me, but couples can still have sex during pregnancy. But not rough sex. Violent movement can hurt the embryo.

So just hold off on the rough intercourse until a Dr says it's ok, or after birth.

Sex during pregnancy is perfectly normal and can be continued. Unless there are complications occurring there is nothing wrong with it. The Doctor well advise.

Usually around the third trimester most women get extremely horny. That can be a plus for the husband. I'm not a perv but when my son’s mother was pregnant I found her extremely sexy.

as long as the pregnancy is a normal pregnancy, and it is not considered "high risk" then they can keep having relations. It can actually be good for the man and women, and even further along in pregnancy when the baby is moving, the baby had no idea there is anything even going on.

Sexual relations during pregnancy is okay, unless your doctor says otherwise. This usually doesn't happen unless the pregnancy has been deemed "high risk." Ejaculate contains certain hormones that CAN soften the cervix, assuming that the cervix is ready to be softened. If not, then it will have no effect whatsoever. Sex is okay, as long as you feel up to it.

Oh you wouldn't want to stop. For some women sex is best while prego... It won't hurt the baby, and you may continue to have relations until your doctor says something different.

Wait till about the second trimester... you will be a sex fiend!!! It is the best time and you will love it. It is fine for the baby... until you get bigger... then its just time to find new positions!!! Have fun. (Since I'm not a Dr. you should probably at least consult with your doctor about what they think)
