I mean, this was B.S from the get go. Our justice system is suppose to protect the innocent. This, was 180 degrees out of phase. These poor guys now have to rebuild their image for something they didn't do.

"these poor guys" won't have any problems. 1st, they are not poor. 2nd, b/c the accuser was a dancer & Black--nobody that will have any influence in their worlds ever thought they were guilty so there won't be any blacklash there. Men from influential families w/money will continue to do just fine. If they are found innocent (they still face sexual assault & kidnapping charges), that's their pass to do it again. Women who have not led "spotless, lily-white" lives prior to be victimized sexually are always viewed as trash & nobody cares if they don't like what's happened to them. Sad but true.

I guess all too often the rape victim's past sexual history is usually scrutinized and she is often held partially if not totally to blame for the alleged rape.

The DA believed this woman and believed that a terrible crime had occurred. The fact that she was a stripper and a woman of a questionable past, did not matter much.

I believed her at first too, when the story broke! I thought, "stupid, rich white kids taking advantage of a poor black girl"

Now we know that is not the case and that is a shame. It is women like her that cast a shadow of doubt on other women who really are raped and deserve to be listened to and helped.

So many rape cases don't even get reported because of this very thing! The woman doesn't want to have to expose her entire sexual history to the world, and feel like she somehow "deserved" to be raped.

These young men are the victims here and I hope they can put all of this behind them and move on to have successful and prosperous lifes and families.

1. It was an election year, Duke High Profile.
2. It was a racial thing.
3. Prosecutor refused to look like a jerk, which he did. He just dropped the rape and kept false imprisonment and one other lame charge.
4. I hope the Lacrosse Team files a class action lawsuit.

The Prosecutor must of really needed a boost in the ratings for the election to retain his job...

So, he took advantage of these young men, on charges brought up by that woman...

(After all, every rape charge "does" have to be investigated, but, as you can see, he is not doing his job because he is letting the statue of limitations run out, I will bet...so, he doesnt have to prosecute them and just leave them off).

I wish you well..
