Yupper... he's feuding with Samoa Joe right now. Kurt beat Samoa and gave him his first loss. They rematched at the next PPV and Samoa won... but Samoa stated the conditions of the rematch was no matter who won, there wouldn't be a 3rd match. Kurt agreed to the terms... so now he's gone a bit psycho since he lost and can't do the rematch. He was assaulting everyone trying to get to Samoa and make him grant the rematch. Last night Cornette put him and Samoa against each other (with tag partners in a tag match) so Kurt would have an opportunity to "pursuade" Samoa in the ring to give him a rematch. The show ended with Kurt having Samoa in the ankle lock but cut away so the viewers wouldn't see if he conceded or not to the rematch.
But the card for their next PPV is already out there, and they will have their rubber match then.
I didn't see the PPVs, but from reading the re-caps they were extremely good matches.

He didn't ask for the time off, he was relaeased by WWE because they believed he has become tooo big a healthy liability.
His experioemntal neck surgery didn't go as well as planned and now he is in danger of really hurting himself big time. So rather than take the insurance risk, they ask him to take some time off, and when his contract ran out he went to TNA
