I heard that the death penalty is against the Iraqi constitution.

The trial is not over yet, the appeals still have to go though. But President Bush said that Saddam Hussein will get a fair trial before he is executed.

They should auction it off to Iraq's on who gets to cut the rope that forces Saddam to be hung

It looks like it will be taped to prove it happened and to give some people satisfaction. Undoubtedly, it will leak on to Arab TV and then will be broadcast everywhere. Hopefully it will not be shown in the near future since it will certainly inflame the Sunnis and result in more deaths.

NO, It would incite more to become extremists. Al Jazeera would show every gorey twitch. Kidnappings and hangings would occur throughout the middle east.

You think Iraq is bad now, just imagine how bad things will be if he is executed.
