Aren't you on break yet?

Who, exactly, is being "forced" to "flee from our government system"?

Our founding fathers were not the Puritans. They weren't even the first European settlers on this continent. They left England because they were persecuted there, but they went to Holland. Finding that Dutch society, with it's tolerance of almost all religions, was not a good fit for them, they decided to go somewhere that they could practice their religion exclusively. This means they were not escaping religious persecution when they came here. They were escaping religious freedom.
