It was reported in my local newspaper that she said that Iraq is "worth the investment in money and human lives." I am appalled she would say such a thing. What do you think?

jh: "I am appalled that you are appalled by this. She is absolutely correct. Yet, I suspect you are basing your opinion on your many years of government service, your vast knowledge of the geopolitical world, and your multiple post-graduate degrees like she is." Why do you assume that I don't have a post-graduate degree? Why do you assume I don't have knowledge of the geopolitical world? And why do you assume that because I never worked for the government, I'm disqualified to have an informed opinion about this? How incredibly arrogant of you! Oh, and how old are you and why aren't you in Iraq?

The Iraq war is truly Condi's war. Insider stories will report this fact in 3-4 years after the Bush admin is sent home and people begin to write their books.
She strongly encouraged Bush to launch this war as the head of the NSA. Bush would not have done so without her counsel.
She continues to endorse this war without reason and justification at this point.
Condi Rice was the worst political appointment made in American government in the last 40 years (i.e. since Robt. McNamera.)
Appalled is too polite and nice a word for the damage this woman has brought unto America. May the ghost of every fallen soldier visit her each night one at a time.
There is never a right way to do the wrong thing.

It seems like some people joined the military to pay their way through college. My best friend joined the marines after the war started and he knew he would be sent to war. He was killed in Iraq but he knew the risks when he signed up. We have a volunteer army to fight for this country and there will always be casualties in war.

And ALL of CONGRESS goes on as business as usual.Half a billion dollars just to run for President, what`s wrong with this picture?God BLESS AMERICA!

In response to Rachel G and her response to my response:
I said I "suspect" and you had your retort. I didn't assume at all, I left it for you to enlighten us all. Please describe in detail your experience.
You ask why I am not in Iraq. Good question. I volunteered for military service after graduation from college, and spent over a decade serving my country in that fashion. I currently in a civilian role overseas, representing the State Department. If the need arises, I will go to Iraq or wherever they ask. I am a public servant. I am sorry if you find that arrogant.

She doesn't have a clue! I have a grandson who is in the R.O.T.C. and is 16 years old and will be graduating High school next year. He will be one of the first to go. I don't want his life laid on the line for the great Bush war.
Let condi go fight this war and stop sending our kids!Let all of the politicians there in Washington who want to keep sacrificing our kids send there own kids to die.

I think Dr. Rice should personally go to Iraq and beat up those terrorists.

It's worth it to the very small percentage of people that have profited off the invasion and occupation.

I do not agree in the least, but then again, her job has always been to blindly defend anything her boss says.
