I'm Brazilian and I have visited Buenos Aires in july. Many Brazilians visit Argentina, specially Buenos Aires and Bariloche (sky station). In Buenos Aires the turistic informations are in three languages: Spanish, English and Portuguese (Brazilian Portuguese). Many Argentinians visit Brazil too, specially the beaches. Some turistic cities like Porto Seguro have more Argentinian tourists than Brazilian tourists. Brazilians are very welcome in Argentina and vice-versa.
There is this huge football rivalry, the biggest in football among nations. But it stays mainlyin football. Many Brazilians think that Argentinians are arrogant. Argentina is the richer Latin American country, and they like to split it in everyone-s face. I don't care, yes, Argentina is richer than Brazil, what's the problem if an Argentinian tells so? But the Brazilians that don't like Argentinians are mainly ignorant people, inteligent Brazilians like Argentinians.
Both countries make part of MERCOSUR. If you're a Brazilian or Argentinian and want to go to the other country you don't need a visa, nothing, all you have to do is show your ID at the airport. The government of both countries have made an agreement that now Brazilian workers can work in Argentina, and Argentinians in Brazil as if they're locals, like what happens in the Europpean Unino. The South American countries are in an ever increasing process of integration.
PS:
Badest Bandulu, Brazilians are not "sexualy permissive", it's just like any other country. You can find people of full German ascents with "hispanic names" in Brazil too. Like Gisele Bundchen. There are a minority (~=15%) of mestizos and indians in Argentina and they don't suffer severe discrimination. I have never heard of any racial riot in Argentina like happens in United States, France, Britain, etc. Million ofs mestizo and indian Paraguayans and Bolivians migrate to Argentina to work, and you know what? There are no fencies between Argentina and Bolivia or Argentina and Paraguay, nothing. It's very easy to migrate to Argentina if you want. Argentina wasn't in the nazi side, it was neutral. But even if it was, would call Italian and German racists untill today?

Buenos Aires is an incredible town; it's an surprising metropolis that appears a little like Europe, but by having an edgy Latin American twist and if you wish to visit this city then have a look with hotelbye . El Puerto Madero is really a place properly visited. It served as the key port of Buenos Aires through the late 19th century but know is turned into structures that may be applied as residences, restaurants, stores and other firms and to provide this challenge a little bit of style, all streets in the section were called after women. Strolling through the Puerto Madero is a superb way to invest a nice evening the same as visiting El Obelisco. El Obelisco was built-in 1936 to remember the 400th wedding of the town founding and now is a must-see place from Buenos Aires.

There is a rivalry between both countries. As you know, they are the biggest economic powerhouses in the South, with cheap Brazilian imports flooding Argentinean markets from time to time, and the opposite (cheap Argentinian goods into Brazil) happening as well.
However, I wouldn't compare this rivalry to that between the British and the French. I would say it is much like a Canada / USA relationship. See how the US and Canada are always debating trade (the recent lumber dispute being a perfect example, or the ban of Canadian beef during the Mad Cow crisis).
Think of those jokes about Canadians that exist in America and how they make fun of their northern neighbours in television and popular culture. But just as the Brazilians and Argentineans, Canadians and Americans know that they need each other to survive and have to coexiste despite their differences.

I am a Brazilian / American living in U.S.A. You all need to read more , Argentina is not rich than Brazil or better, instead Argentina is in a serious Debts with the World. Argentina is in $100, 000 billion dollars in Debts and refuse to pay the Debts to the International Investors. Argentina government should shoot themselves and new now we have thousands of Argentinians in Brazil after the World Cup 2014, they all want to stay in Brazil, because Brazil have a better life than Argentina. Those Argentinians needs to go back to Argentina and help their Government pay the money to the International Investors that they spended and showed off with money that was not theirs to spend in the first place. Argentina is in U.S.A Court now because of their mess of Debts with the World, no one thrust Argentina to do Business with.

It's like the English and Scots, Welsh and Irish. Neighbours rarely get on and see eye to eye.

I think there is a racial/ethnic element at work. Brazilians tend to be of mixed descent, sexually permissive, fun people. Argentines tend to be snobby, anal retentive, and often racist (the only place where you will see full blooded Celts and Anglos with Hispanic first names in large numbers). Brazilians supported the Allies in WWII, Argentines supported the Axis.
