A little crazy maybe but in a good way. You spelled stupid wrong. Hm....You have to realize that being a teacher is not as easy as students think. I was once a high school student but now I am in college pursuing a degree in Education. There is a lot of work on the teachers part that goes on behind the scenes. There is no doubt in my mind that there are some people that work in the school system that should not be there for one reason or another. However, for the most part students view teachers as being unconcerned about them but this is usually far from the truth. A majority of the time teachers become so burnt out from all the work they have to do they forget about what they would rather be doing. Working with the students. All you have to do is talk to the teacher personally. Develop a student/teacher professional type relationship. It will benefit you both.

Crazy? Yes. Stupid? No. Math teachers are some of the smartest people around as they know how to solve and think outside the box and figure stuff out logically and following a certain rule or order. I am not able to do this and i look at math teachers and mathematicians with great respect! Because math is so hard for me and they make it easy!

I'm definitely a little crazy, but certainly not stupid (OK, I'm a math teacher so I won't say anything about the way you spelled stupid.) I decided to teach math because
1. I understand it.
2. I can explain several different ways to find an answer.
3. I think a lot of kids got turned off to math and need some way to believe they can do it.
Most of my students think I'm crazy. I design some off the wall activities (8th grade math) and games, but they are learning. It is the out of the ordinary stuff they remember.
Lastly, you must realize that only someone a little nuts would choose to teach.

I think most math teachers are people who love and understand math and its importance. They believe it is so important that they want to make sure the next generation understands it and can use it. They are neither crazy or stupid. They have chosen to teach people who, for the most part, hate math and do not appreciate them, when their math talents could have certainly gotten them other jobs that would pay better and be more respected.

My math teachers were sane and smart but I know some are crazy and stupid because when I got in a class where the teacher was I only stayed one day. I sized him up and I dropped that class like a hot potato!

I'm not sure if a sign is missing between 2y^2 and 2x2. Is 2x2 2x^2? Just add together monomials with the same variables. x^2 would be added or subtracted(you don't say which) with the 2x^2 and the 2x^2 (you have 2x62 The y^2 will subtract out.. 3xy - xy + 2xy = 4xy Rewrite the question if you want an answer.
