but it hasn't moved since i brought it home? It's just stayed stuck to the cuttle fish. Is this normal behaviour? It's been 24hours.

It's snuffed it my dear.

Super glue it in a different place when you take it back.

They wont know.

If you are worried just lift it off the cuttle fish, and spritz it with some warm water it shoud then come out of its shell. if it is stuck to the cuttle fish its fine cos they suction themselves onto things if it was dead it couldn't. If you need any more advice contact me i have kept snails for years.

They need a reasonably warm environment; it should have come with a heat mat for under its tank.
Keep it in a warm room, spritz with warm(not hot) water and provide plenty of variety in its food.
Oh and they do sleep quite a lot.
It will begin to smell like anything rotten if it is dead.

try going to a website and asking an expert if you look up pet giant african snails there are forums etc where you can ask an expert.

lift it off and see if it moves a little bit a swhen you pick it off it will go in shell and that will prove he ok

it's a SNAIL not a greyhound.
they don't move much ok.
