As a place, I think there are good parts of America and not so good ones. For example, the ghettos wouldn’t be an attractive place to spend time in. However, there are a lot of major tourist attractions across America which appeals to different tastes. Other bad things about it as a place are the areas which get hit by dangerous weather conditions. I wouldn’t want to have to put up with that every year or so. On the international stage, America has given the world a lot, including Hollywood, music, fast food restaurants, clothing brands etc. In these areas America has offered more to the world than any other country.

As people, well there are decent Americans, and not so decent ones. I don’t like Americans who are passionate about their religion to the point whereby they insist on shoving it down people’s throat etc. Nor do I like the ones who choose a life of crime, especially if they blame it on society. I also don’t like Americans who can’t speak English but expect the rest of their country to bend over backwards. I like the determination to succeed which a lot of Americans have, and I like the fact that their people helped free Western Europe from Nazi tyranny and prevent it being taken over by the communists from the east. I don’t like how the public turns on its army and wars simply because it’s not winning. An example of this is their support of the Korean War and opposition to the Vietnam War.

As for Bush, well he doesn’t come across as being confident or prepared for interviews. I think his decisions to go into countries have been good ones, but they’ve been followed up by bad ones which have cost a lot of people their lives. These include not securing the borders. I don’t agree with his attitude on abortion, euthanasia, and sex before marriage.

I feel it is a big mistake to blame all the American people for recent events in Iraq etc. The saddest part for me, is trying to fathom how they can elect a 'good' President such as Clinton who did so much to help with resolve the problems in Northern Ireland and then follow up with [trying really hard to be reasonable at this point] an apparent delinquent Bush. They should have elected his wife who is intelligent, witty and very knowledgeable about world events. Why did she marry him??????

I dont believe that the current President, is doing a good job at all. He is to busy listing, to old men, that know know nothing of the current times. I believe that Americans, as a whole are a very giving people, friendly to a fault, but to wrapped up in patrician politics. As to how I feel about America herself, I cry when the National anthem is played, because I love her so much.

I love America! I feel blessed to be born here and I am proud of our history.

I love Americans - I think we are good people. I hope that racism ends in America in the future. That is something we need to work on.

I respect our president and I support him, no matter what. I may not agree with all of his policies, but I do believe that his intentions are good. I believe he is a good man.

There are over 40 international places in Europe, not counting 'mini-states' alongside with the Vatican. they have were given extremely particular histories, populations, economies and ties (or lack of ties) with the U. S.. some, like the united kingdom have populations which do not do not forget themselves 'eu'. there's a quirky bedrock of Anti-americanism in France, and to three extent in Greece. some international places are anti 'Anglo', and performance historic antipathy to the full English talking international. Others equivalent to eire and the united kingdom have very close affiliations and sympathy for American beliefs.

The country: Like Disneyland--full of naive little children and marvellous but expensive toys.
The people: God bless them and give them all the vanilla icecream they can eat.
The president: a clone of the first Bush, aka Oz the Great and Powerful. Pay no attention to those corporate execs behind the curtain...ain't nobody back there!

The issue of Iraq has brought about a sense of anti Americanism. To be fair, it's their president and our prime minister's seeming cow towing to the former that has probably been the trigger, not the American people themselves. Why did they re-elect GB? Why did we re-elect TB? I just watch American comedy (Simpsons, South Park etc) to re-affirm that there are some great Yanks out there!

The Americans, I think always felt that they were better than us.
They got it right in some places and wrong in other places, like going to war at the wrong time when they should have gone in at the first one. We would not have been drawn into it like a puppy.

I think we have a great country that is being ruined by Geo Bush and by illegal immigrants. The country was so much better in the 50s and 60s and even 70s. Since Reagan, it's been all downhill. That is when we started seeing a lot of homeless on the streets.
