i own a shop and it will fit,,but you may never get it to shift right the one has a 700r4 in it and it uses a different method to shift it the 4l60 uses a cable to to help it shift right, they,ll both bolt up though, but as far as ever shifting right it may never happen,I'm working on one now that's a 4l60 and i would have rather had a good 700 r4 in it,,but it wont work in it good luck hope this helps, have a good x-mas.

It will fit, but the 92 has a 700r4 trans. They look the same but the 700 used a throttle cable to control shift points and the 4l60 is computer controled and uses electronoc valves to control the shifts. It will fit but it wont work.

NO a 4L60-E is what the 94 is , a 92 would be a 700-R4 that has a TV cable for shifting. and that`s what you have to go back with.93 was the year they all changed to electronic 4L60-E trans.

My 95 k1500 4x4 will not go into 4 wheel drive . If I pull the shifter hard I can hear a gear grinding. Could something be broke ?
