You could use all the used cooking oil from food stalls or process raw crops, such as corn.

All the methods and crops it can be produced from and yields are in the wikipedia biodiesel article. You just need to work out what grows best in India.

The article on 'biodiesel processor' has some good stuff on how to do it.

Bio-diesel can be made from any fat, but is most commonly made from vegetible oils. Any vegetible oil can be used, but the most common are those derived from oil seeds such as rape or sunflowers. There are two processes for converting these fats into bio-diesel.

The process most commonly used for small scale production is a base catalyzed transesterification reaction. This can be carried out at low temperatures and essentially atmospheric pressure. The fat is mixed with a strong base such as sodium hydroxide (lye) and an alchohol (typically methanol). The reaction replaces the glyceryl in the fat with three methyl radicals to produce three methyl esters of the fatty acids found in the vegetible oil and glycerol. The methyl esters are separated from the glycerol and excess base by separation and washing. The resulting product is suitable for use in most diesel engines.

The other process, which is used for larger scale production, reacts the vegetible oils with hydrogen at elevated temperatures and pressure. This removes the oxygen molecules from the fat and produces hydrocarbons similar to those found in petroleum. Bio-diesel produced by this route is essentially the same as diesel fuel produced from petroleum and can be used in any oil fueled diesel engine.

particular in spite of the reality that finding on the commonplace of the waste oil it ought to demands some greater steps to kick the reaction then whilst processing from virgin oil. i'm not sure if something is happening in India presently yet I now of a undertaking linked with Rutgers college it relatively is considering such initiatives in India

AS you know biodiesel is produced mainly from vegetable oil.A special type of plant is used for making the oil. The name of the plant is 'Jatropha'. It is seen as the future biofuel. It can be grown in farms or as decorations, it being a hedge plant. For more information on Jatropha, search on net.
