Every time I open my browser I see new stories of our troop loses in Iraq. When are we going to say enough? I can't believe Bush is willing to send more and more troops over to a hopeless situation. Am I wrong? Does anyone else think that enough of our children have died to enforce a situation that has nothing to do with us?

Hey, you find a way to poll all of us 'children' over here. I will put a grand down that says over 90% of us think we should stay. But hey, it's not like we're putting medicine in their cabinets, food in their stomachs, water in their previously non-existent refrigerators....

Just remember when your in the service of your fellow man you are only in the service of our God. And i believe that our Troops over there are doing a great job serving others. They chose to join the army to SERVE AND PROTECT others. If they wasnt in Iraq or Afganistan. The war would be fought here in America. I believe strongly that if they are killed in action serving their fellow man, they will be blessed eternally. To those who have lost a loved one over there. My prayers are with you and remember that your sons, daughters, fathers, or mothers WILL be rewarded for their courage, service and Christ like attributes. They may not even be christian but they served with a christ like attitude. Everything will be okay i Promise you this with all my heart. Remember that this life is not the end. The spirit lives on forever with our Father in Heaven, as well with our families. I am sorry for your loss if you have had one. I honestly believe that if someone dies serving others they are saved in the kingdom of God. That is what our Savior Jesus Christ did for us.

First, you insult the military by calling them "children." They are adults who have chosen either to serve in the military for a certain number of years, or have chosen it as a career. Second, I do not believe the situation is "hopeless." Third, what do you mean this situation has nothing to do with us? A stable Iraq, will certainly help the west in its fight against a fanatical, religious ideology. Is it heartbreaking that we have soldiers killed? OF COURSE! But thank God for those in the military who have made the choice to defend and fight for our, as well as the Iraqi peoples freedom to live as they choose.

Next time open your browser and contact your congressman and senator. Carping on here does no good. They are easy to find and most even have e-mail addresses so you can write them. Do it maturely and with purpose. They are the only way to stop it. Complainging that they will do nothing will accomplish nothing either.
I have written both of my Senators and my Congressman. Will it do any good? I don't know. I know that in 1974 the Congressional offices were filled with letters demanding to get rid of Richard Nixon. Barry Goldwater and two others visited him and the next day, he resigned.
