If I detected my LH surge on 12-10 with a digitl CB&Easy, had intercoarse on 12-9, 12-11, 12-12 , when would I have gotten pregnant.??? How many days do you have to wait even for blood ? I heard it can take 6-10 days for fertilization, and if thats true, how many days past fertilization do you have to wait..... My cycle runs about every 24-26 days...... Last period 11-27..... ???? My Dr said he wont clasify me pregnant until my levels are over 2,600....... I told them I was very early ! I know Im pregnant, so what do you advise ??? Thanks ahead of time for your kindness...One lady on here last night said WaYYYYY to EarlYYY. So what or when should I test..... My nerves, and job need to know..????

I called another Dr., and she said fertilization didnt happen til around the 18th of Dec..... So, thats the deal with my cramps, and she said I wont get a pos until AFTER the 25th...blood or urine.... I have to wait 4 hrs to close this out.....Thanks eveyone !!

you just left an answer on my site about what you are going through and it seems as though we are both going through the same things. my cramping is a dull feeing and i have had is since 4dpo. and its in my left side and its kind of in my hips and my thighs. i also get really crampy after sex as well. i would have ovulate on the 13 from what the calenders till me and i follow my mucus. which i had sex 9,10,13,15,20,21. hoping to get pregnant. i hope you are to sounds like you could be as well. Did you ever have pink spotting after sex while you were ovulating. i did and im trying to figure out what it is. but best of luck to you.

Ovulation hormone surges that are detected by tests happen 12 hours before the release of an egg, which is only viable for fertalization for 24-36 hours. Fertalization happens within that 24-36 hours. Probably the 11th or 12th.
It takes up to 5-6 days for the fertalized ovum to travel from the fallopian tube where the sperm found it, to reach the uterus and implant. Once implantation occurs your body will start producing the HCG hormone and thats when pregnancy starts to show on tests.
However, it takes quite a few days for the hormones to build up enough to be detectable. Usually 2600 is about a week before your period is do, give or take. The numbers will generally double every day for the first few weeks.
Wait until you'd be due for your period, and go to your doctors for testing. Thats the best thing you can do. You can technically insist on blood work the week you'd normally be PMSing (which according to your cycle looks like that would be this week) and get a high enough reading to suggest pregnancy.
However, each woman develops the hormones at different rates. So its usually a better idea to wait until you're late for your period.

Blood pregnancy tests can be done just after the embryo is in your uterus, which takes 6-12 days after fertilization.
From the sounds of it, you would have ovulated on 12/11 and had conception there.
It sounds like you need to have a positive HPT in order for your Dr. ot order the blood test. But if you can't wait, you can see if there is a clinic in your area (like Planned Parenthood) and ask if they can do a Beta HCG for you. I've heard the cost varies, but $10-30 or so dollars. Some places, it is based upon your income (ie, PPH).

ummm, they told me I was preg, and they couldn't even see the baby in there yet. It was so earily, that the only way they knew I was preg, was because I has the hormone in my system.
