you should check the top and see if you put it on "HOLD" and if not, try charging it, it could be out of battery. Other than that, it could possibly be broken.

Throw it against the wall and quote the movie "Pulp Fiction" about being the shephard of rightousness right before you blow you're Ipod away.

Call apple and see what they say, they could repair it or ever better, replace it. Thats it.
