If your license has expired yesturday, can you still use it to cross back from the mexico border?

I have the extention from the DMV. Can i use that along with my expired license?

No, you now need proof of citizenship - a drivers license is not proof.

Uh oh...no I don't think it is enough. How did you get into Mexico without a birth certificate???
You can try...but you may run into issues...
