Love is a strong emotional attachment for another person. Is it real? Yes, love is very real. It is the most wonderful thing in the world.
We have so many divorces because people don't bother to see the difference between love, lust, and friendship.
True love and good communication hold a marriage together. Lust and friendship cannot hold the marriage together-they fade with time.

Love is real but lovers are frivolous and part for silly reasons. The following reasons were found to cause divorces:
1) Divorce prone society
2) Bad personality attributes - "flies off the handle," "won't talk about it," "has irritating habits") and problem behaviors (trouble with the law, infidelity, drinking or drugs, child abuse).
3) "If your parents were divorced, it's twice as likely that your own marriage will end in divorce.
4) a deficit in interpersonal skills - not listening to your partner
5) getting angry and losing their temper.
6) One person tried to dominate the marriage. There was an unwillingness to compromise.
7) Another risk factor for divorce, strangely, is living together prior to marriage. Couples who cohabitate prior to marriage report more problems and are more likely to think about divorce.
8) Insensitive to children's needs and selfishness.
9) Too much individuality and failure to be a team player.
You can see from yahoo answers how many people support ending a marriage in their answers. This is an escapist tendency. We live in much better conditions than our forefathers but cannot adjust to simple differences. Money, household work, cooking, infidelity etc. are the main issues in most marriages. We have become so weak that we cannot manage such simple things and do not have the courage to accept our mistakes.
Where has love gone? Love never said that you should not share workload and should be intolerant of your spouse. We have to be mature and capable to enjoy true love. It is not freely available to all. We have to work and maintain it all our life.

Love is very real! The reason for all the divorces in the world, too many people jump into it. They don't think about it before they do it. We have so many kids that get married just for the hell of it. They don't think about how hard marriage really is. It's hard work and most kids these days are lazy and don't want to put out the effort. They think life is a breeze once you are an adult and married, It's Not! Also, too many people get married cause they think they have to, weather it's because they are pregnant or what. Having a baby is not a reason to get married. Most people in that situation are not really in love. They shouldn't let anyone pressure them in to getting married because it's "The right thing to do" It's not.

In my opinion love & marriages are two different things. Love is a personal desire while marriage is a need of the society. It is fantastic if you are married with someone you truly love but it does not happen every time. It’s a human instinct to crave for better. This is the reason why people divorce to have better relations with some other person, but who guarantees that this is gonna be better or same as earlier. In my society where I live, divorce is something like stigma and we have to live and it doesn’t matter we love each other or not, but in the end after the passage of time we get use to each other and we can’t live apart. Is this your definition of love?

Love is laying down your life for someone else. Love is accepting the person just the way they are. Love is putting that persons needs before your own and doing it with a cheerful heart.
Love is real and we have so many divorces because people are to selfish. They do not want to be inconvienced by putting someone elses needs before their own. There is a difference between love and lust. Too many marriages are started because people mistook lust for love. They do not want to accept the other person with their faults. Marriage should be based on commitment, not love. People do not know the meaning of commitment and if they do, they do not want to live by it.

Because people confuse love with lust and when the lust thing ends they think they are no longer in love. Love is real but you have to know what it really is. 1Corinthians 13 says it like this;
Love is patient, love is kind and is not jealous, love does not brag and is not arrogant. Does not act unbecomingly; it does not seek its own way, is not provoked, does not take into account a wrong suffered, does not rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth; bears all things, endures all things, love never fails.
This kind of love will keep people together because it will cause people to honor their commitment to each other.

Love is a feeling that comes from our heart that needs to develop and grow.there are some factors to consider in a good relationship. One is love, trust, understanding and communication.i think one ground of divorce is the lack of communication between husband and wife, lack of respect with each other and pride.if we love someone we have to do the best we can to make them happy.

I think it is because people often get married to "Mr/Mrs Will do" instead of "Mr/Mrs Just right for me". So often we settle for someone because how can we know if anything better will come along? So we just accept average instead of waiting for spectacular.
