We have been using our wireless setup for over a year now and no problems , then all of a sudden things went hay wire. We could sometimes get certain pages and not be able to see most sites. We tried everything even switched back to the old wireless router same problem. All of our computers are set for wireless even the laptops and all with the same results. We are fine if we hook up with wire dirrect , just for some reason wireless isnt working .We unplugged and did everything emaginable. Could an update or something have messed things up. It had to be recent with in a day.

2 computers have the new explorer 7 and 2 have explorer 6 so upgrading to 7 isnt the reason.

most likely there is a new source of constant interference that is effected the 2.4 GHz frequency. if you live in an apt. complex the odds are greater that is the problem.

Are you an advanced enough user to see if there are other wifi networks near you? A neighbor could have gotten a wireless device/access point that is on the same channel as yours.

Have you purchased any new wireless devices like a new phone. Sometimes the new cordless phones will interfere with wireless routers or other wireless devices you might be using.

Maybe its for the "better"!!

There are some pacemakers that are affected by Wi-Fi's (MINE)!!

They make a person with a pacemaker violently ill... And those things can radiate 10,000 feet, so, you can be making some one sick a block or two away! (Believe me, puking and gagging isnt fun, when your pacemaker goes nuts).

So, before you got your wireless set up, did you ask everyone in your block if they had a pacemaker? How about people around you?

If you see an ambulance in your neighborhood, it maybe because of your wireless network...

Something to think about eh? Proabably not...
You just dont care.. Ok, 'nuff of my rant...

I wish you well..
