I was raised by my family not to be judging but I find myself become hateful when I read about history. I just hate history and I don't like that way it went down. I don't like reading about how Europeans rape natives, killing them, fractionzing the contient and stuff. I wonder DO JEWS FEEL THE SAME WHEN THEY READ ABOUT THE HOLOCAUST???

I feel that history can make some people racist depending on the content. My friend wacthed all of the Roots episodes and needless to say she went to jail that night because of her rage.

you have a great point and i do agree, when ever i read something about how black people were treated it makes me want to go out and treat some white person wrong, and the people that are living today had nothing to do with what happened in the past. i hate all of those old n*gger movies with slaves and stuff like that, i hate to see those graves in books about the haulocaust. I agree with you, it does make you hate when you really should not.
I was raised the same way you were and i have even dated a lot of different guys of different races but i still feel like we have a long way to go before people realize that we all should be treated equally.

If historians ommit the positive or the negative, then history can result in making people racist. That is why it is so important to expose ones self to various opinions and historical account The freedom to learn.

History is funny. It can be used for a lot of different reasons. The idea that it is just a simple presentation of facts its totally wrong. History is one of the most effective propaganda tools around. Take it with a healthy dose of salt.

History can't do anything. It is a period of time. PEOPLE throughout history are who make other people racists by passing down ideaologies and such. History does not repeat itself. People either repeat it or change it.

Yes, in fact it does. Well, i believe that to be true though. It hurts to see if you're race is being injured by another race and we develope a unconcious negative feeling towards them. I am Indian and i personally have never felt it but i see it.

Fear and ignorance make people racists. People have been raping and killing out of fear and ignorance since the people moved into the cave nextdoor.
