Got mine delivered yesterday.

The sprouts are out in the garage where it's nice and cold.

Really looking forward to them - well cooked and with tons of butter on.

This year I decided to order xmas stuff online; it arrived 30 mins ago - the turkey is only big enough for 4 not 8 so I told the company I was not happy. They offered me £30 off bill but I said I wanted another turkey delivered. Not a chance they said. So after all my stress relieving efforts I still have to brave a shop tonight or tomorrow.
Next year we just eat sprouts!
Woo Woo go shopping tonight at 11pm!

Did it earlier today, and it was the most hectic experience i've had...car park at tesco's was over flowing, it wouldn't have surprised me if there were punch ups over parking spaces. So i knew the store was going to be bad, it was like a free for all, jumble sale stylee.
Anyway, to cut quite a long story shorter, YES there were brussel sprouts, and plenty of them but getting anywhere near the little fellows is another matter. Prepare to do battle.
Good Luck

I've shopped on christmas eve. Its not worth it. It was mental. There was virtually nothing left on the shelves, unless you fancy an alternative christmas dinner of cod and chips.
the queues were mental.

Also bear in mind that christmas eve is a sunday this year and limited opening. My advice would be to brave a 24 hr place tonight at maybe midnight cos you are less likly to have to queue

Go do the big grocery shopping on the 23rd, then do a final trip on the 24th for the things you forgot. I would bet the 23rd is when the big restocking is going to happen, not the 24th.

Oh, and REMEMBER to put any frozen turkeys or anything like that (Frozen Tofurkys and Quorn roasts, too!) in the fridge **on the 23rd**!! It takes forever for the stupid things to thaw, and you don't need the heartache and tears on Christmas morning.

Go today. The closer you get to Christmas, the crazier the store and the slimmer the pickings! You may find there are still sprouts left..... all the ones no one else wanted.

I usually have mine delivered from Tescos but braved Asda today and got it all out of the way. Was mayhem and if I were you, I wouldn't risk leaving it until Christmas Eve - I'd head out tomorrow to get what you need.

Good luck and have a great Christmas :o)
