Because they hate everybody who lives outside france, they have an issue with everyone in the world, yet come crying to the British and Americans when someone invades them, hoping that both the British and Americans will help them out, only to return to their usual "Hate the World" state the very second the invaders are sent home!

As is the case with many questions beginning with "why," the assumption made about the subject has not been determined or supported by any evidence. Let's first ask, "Are the French arrogant?" We would have to supply definitions of whom you mean by "French," and what you mean by "arrogant" before we could even begin to answer that question. There is much work to be done before we move on to "why."

Be very careful of the conclusions you draw - you a tarring 60 million people with the same brush, and those are very broad strokes to paint. I lived and worked in France for a year. I taught in a 'laique' (comprehensive) school with a whole cross-section of society, and found them to be very similar to people in Britain, Ireland, Australia, America and Canada.

They had the same insecurities that all human nature has. They also shared a lot of the positive qualities found in the human race. I lived in a 'provincial' area of the country - not a tourist zone where they are used to foreign people, and found the locals to be friendly, generous, amusing, good-natured, generous, vibrant, helpful, invitational, eccentric and very interesting. They made me feel very welcome and I didn't encounter any of the xenophobia, arrogance or bureaucracy with which people often associate France.

Don't buy into cultural stereotypes or prejudices. I know there is no smoke without fire, but these are easily exaggerated and promulgated by narrow-minded sections of the media, and are believed by mentally lazy, small-minded sections of society. There may be some element of truth in these judgements, but a country's population is too diverse, and an individual's personality too changeable for them to be a true representation.

everybody has nurtured the vanity interior the French. via praising their delicacies, Paris, their language, and their historic previous. so as that they've been given a huge head. They weren't that conceited whilst the Germans invaded them, have been they? yet they seem to have forgotten who helped them: we did.
