They sag for several reasons: The top reason is that as you age, your skin loses its elasticity. It is not as tight as when you're young and doesn't "bounce back." Another reason is loss of volume. Most older women tend to lose a little weight. One of the first places that they lose weight is in the breasts because it's mostly fat. The skin is not so elastic (so it won't shrink w/ weight loss) and the breast loses volume, so whatever is less tends to sag. Breastfeeding and child birth also affects a woman's breast later in life. Lower estrogen in older women after menopause also affects the volume of breast tissue as well as skin elasticity.

As women age & get closer to menopause their bodies slow down reproductively. (everthing is connected, i believe.)

So, less hormones produced more sagging.. ect.

Hormones. As we get older we lose our "puberty hormones". Also not using a good support bra and having children.
