I hate when ppl answer and all they say is go to the doctor, its obvious she is going to the doctor (I hope) she is pregnant. Anyhow, I lost a baby in July and I was six weeks pregnant (I have no kids). Bleeding is not uncommon early on, but it is never normal. After it was finally confirmed through ob that I was pregnant, I started having light spotting, and it continued. I started cramping not real, but bad enough (I never cramp) and I went to the er. This happened a few times. They did an ultrasound each time (went three times very painful) and each time they didn't see the baby. turns out it was ectopic the reason it took that long to diagnose was bc it is not easy to diagnose. There is more to the story but you get the point. There are so many reasons that you could be bleeding, ( I was told you could be miscarrying, it will go away, wait and see if the baby will drop, etc) this is not just something to wonder about. If I had not taken action, the baby would have grown where it was and would have bursted my tubes. You are in a very crucial part of your pregnancy trust only your body, do what you think is right. I am one to always get more than one opinion, and after this experience I will continue. Happy Holidays and good luck.

Bleeding is never normal but it is not uncommon. I started bleeding around 9 weeks. The sonogram detected a small tear between the placenta wall and the uterus. They just told me to rest and the bleeding stopped. Today I have a beautiful baby girl. Never just assume the bleeding will go away, go see your doctor.

Sometimes around 6-7 weeks the baby implants more securely, this can cause a little bleeding and even some cramping. As long as you are not in Severe pain and passing clots, I would say you are fine.

It depends on the amount of blood and the colour i bleed a little when i was first pregnant but i had no pain and the blood was very thin and looked watery if i was you i would get it checked by the doctor. Don't worry too much but get it checked out. Good luck and happy christmas to you.

I am sorry to hear you are bleeding. in my first pregnancy i bled in my 5-6 weeks and it ended in a mc. i was assured by dr's and everyone that as long as there was a heartbeat, even ifi bled it would be fine. my r. gave me a realty check and told me if was bleeding thismuch then i should know this baby may not stay and there isnt anything to be done. he said if it stays, no bleeding will kill it. At the end i m/c and was sad but know whatever happens atleast you tried and i presonally will pray for you. may you have a healthy baby...God bless you.

It can be normal my midwife said its ok to bleed and its ok to have pain but when you have both then its a problem. A lot of women do bleed and have a fine full term pregnancy. just for peace of mind see a doctor

I am 32 weeks with my second child, Light spotting is fine but if you are having blood clots and a flow similar to a period then you want to consult your doctor right away, also if it bright red--I know how scary the first trimester can be-- Trust God, my husband and I had 2 miscarriages before giving birth to healthy baby girl, I walked out on faith and he delivered

Yes, I spotted around 7-8 weeks. As long as it's not severely painful and heavy bleeding, you should be fine!

No bleeding is normal but how much are you talking about? That is something you want to call your doctor about right away. I bled quite a lot with my first and they thought I had miscarried but I still had a healthy pregnancy with her. Goodluck!
