I definately think your choice of outfit is appropriate. The stripes will help offset the dreary mood. When I have my own funeral, I just want everyone to be comfortable. jeans and tee-shirts. It's the fact that you're attending the funeral that matters, not what you're wearing. You can celebrate the persons life regardless of attire.

My personal thoughts on this are to go for it assuming the stripes are not loud colors. Funerals should be a time of celebrating the life a person lived and not the endless grieving.

yes, as long as the stripes are not brightly colored, it is fine. The whole complete black Pilgrim look is not necessary. A funeral should be a cross between morning the lose and celebrating the life.

I would say yes, the black shows that you have grief, and the button down shirt says you are celebrating that person's life, which is truly what a funeral should be about. In conclusion go ahead!

I think that would be extremely appropriate, depending on the color of the stripes. And maybe you could wear it under a blck, wool, pea coat, with some tasteful black shoes. I think that would be very appropriate. And I'm sorry for your loss, funerals are never nice.

Yes. The days of wearing totally black to a funeral are long gone.

depends on the colors and width of the stripes.
i would say a very thin pinstripe would be acceptable. but anything wider than that would be kind of distracting, unless you wear a blazer over it.

black pants is fine.

Yes, I wouldn't think twice about it if I saw someone wearing that at a funeral.
