How long are people going to stay ignorant about the facts of marijuana?

Ever wounder why above the influence commercials go to such rediculous lenghts to try and get a point across? ( slugs/fist-in-mouth) its becuase they dont have any cold hard facts

As the person who started putting the facts on the web way back when, I am glad to see people referring to the educational web sites that the reform groups have created.

I will admit that it looks pretty bleak at times on public education. It is also true that lots of people just don't want to know the truth. They won't read the facts, even when they are right in front of them. For many people, it is closer to religious belief than anything that makes rational sense. It is like talking to the Taliban.

I have also become convinced that, for some people, they just don't have the brain cells to process certain concepts -- just like some people can't do algebra. If you ask them certain simple logical questions it quickly becomes obvious that they just can't process the answers.

At times it can be depressing when the world so easily accepts such ridiculous nonsense.

But have heart. If you compare today with where we were ten-plus years ago when we first started putting the research on the web, it is a world of difference.

I wonder the same........we live in an extremeley ignorant and hypocritical society where alcohol (a very heavy and highly addictive drug) is widely accepted. Its a joke and the commercials are ridiculous (these people should re-make "Reefer Madness")......I think its got alot to do with helping to justify many law enforcement sectors which attempt to stop it. This country has alot of growing up to do

It would be difficult to predict how long people are going to stay ignorant about the facts of marijuana unless we know which people you mean and what facts you're speaking of. By the way, it's not "rediculous," but "ridiculous," from the Latin "ridere" which means "to laugh."

because they favor to save society and the business equipment going like that is. that wont take position if its legalized. human beings will keep in mind that existence isnt about residing like this and they're going to make some thing more beneficial. yet residing in a society works so effectively. basically, it doesnt continually make human beings satisfied and there are complications, yet they pay into someone elses benefit. even if, the extra snobby human beings round, the extra weed left for us :)

It's an old story. We have never banned a product because of the product, we (the politicians) ban a product because we don't like the users who use the product.

If you have seen the History Channel documentary on illegal drugs, you would know what I am referring to.

Actually granulated white sugar is the most destructive substance on our planet. (Are you fat, or hyper, or having weird reactions to medicine, do you have allergies, does aspirin hurt your stomach? White granulated sugar is the primary cause.)

But allmost all people have tried it and like it, and they will not judge it on its own merits.

the hippies are wrong about it and so are the cops

if you smoke a lot of it, its really really bad for you

if you smoke a little of it, it won't hurt you very much if at all

seems like forever. I think that if everyone just tried it before they bash it, they would see that it's not a bad thing at all. it's relaxing and hasnt caused me any harm.
