Cupid is the Greek version of kamadeva . KamaDeva is Senior to Cupid .both are engaged in the same function ; but in different region.;the former if Greece and other western countries and the later in India as a specialist doing his magic with a bow of sugar cane . After all all humans irrespective of the country they belong have their organs and they are the same the world over !..

I dont know about greek, but in hinduism, kamadeva is in shivapuran and lot of other mythologies. I think its indegeneous to hindu culture.

actually,cupid is the roman god of love,the greek version was eros,and the greek culture and the indian culture are very different,so their gods are different

Depends on your definition. They're both incarnations of love, though in different ways and to different cultures. They have similarities, but they're not the same, if you ask me.
