For a vet you need to go to college and then veterinary school which is like medical school. But you can be a breeder, handler (the person that shows dogs in the ring), a pet-sitter (you'd be surprised), or a groomer without having anything (I think). You can also work at petsmart. It's just a job but if you get high up in managment it could be a career.
You can get a job from home (like typing medical records) and then you could be with your dog all the time.

You could always volunteer (to avoid college) but you'll have to look into vet tech courses. Alot of community colleges will have them. Good luck!

Get an entry-level position at a vet's office (ie. assistant, data entry),
and move your way up from there, without any professional training or degree.
