Are you talking about a PSP? If you want to play games then the PSP is obviously the much better choice since it will be used with the PS3, plays videos, music, games and PS1 games as well (downloaded). The key is to buy a large Memory Card if you are looking to add video and music. The Ipod Video is better in that you get a LOT more space for movies and videos, don't have to deal with cards to swap out, and you can find and buy tons of video already formatted for the Ipod online.

It all depends on what you plan to use the ipod video for. If you travel a lot or exercise regularly I would recommend the Ipod. Now the positives with the Ps3 is you will get one of the best gaming machines on the planet. If youre a big gamer you should definately go with this one. Also it is the cheapest Blue Ray player on the market. All other players are atleast over $1,000. If youre big into a great movie experience at home I would definately go with this one as well.
