A personal and practial gift--Wrap a postcard in some fancy paper. Enclosed is a card that states this card will entitle you to any service at I can provide for you. We know what the first thought will be, but you could add some suggestions, i.e. wash his car, go pick up the cleaning, clean up after the dog outside, stop by his mother's house and say hello, can I help you with something.
When you give from your heart the gift is priceless and better than one from the store.

go to the dollars store, they have little things that you could given some time there 2 four one buck, and wrap in a lunch bag those one that there are like brown, you good decide something to make on the bag, like kiss, flowers, sunshine a little CHRISTMAS TREE,etc You no the gift of 5.00 or less make people like them more, than a 50,00 or 100.00 dollars you no its not the price you paid for it,its the love of giving a little thing.do you think that rich and spoil people are really happy of there gift for about 500.00 hundred or a millions of dollars i don't think so.its nice for some people like you and your hubby to do this, because hubby works hard or you. for saving for a trip ore even some body that don't go on a trip its still nice to go to the dollars store any way.i would make me happy because i no that its come from a loving heart.and they care about me.

if you're saving, how about you make him something? (read on)
Buy a blank ceramic piggy bank (or some coin case) from michaels craft store. They are pretty cheap. Get some ceramic markers and in nice writing, write "Pennies for Peru" "Coins for Colorado" "Dollars for Denver" "Bills for Big Bear" ect. You can decorate with dots/stripes.

OOH! I just remembered something else.

Book stores (Vromans, I think?) sell boxes of "love lottery" tickets! He can scratch off the ticket and see what he gets!
from Dinners
to Hugs
to Kisses
to MUCH more (if ya know what I mean)

Lip balm, hand lotion, bake him a batch of really yummy cookies, or a big fat red ribbon on you, since you are the best gift any way, also try making coupons for lets say a ten minute massage, or a foot rub.
Have fun.

My fiance and I set budgets for Christmas this year also. One of our favorite things to do in the spring and fall is drive into the mountains. There is a little candy store up there that sells old fashioned candy and we always stop there and he loves it. So I found a store closer to home that sold the same kinds of candy and fixed it up in a cute Christmas bag. Maybe you can think of some fond memories you have and get a gift to remind him of that. You can always make a scrap book of memories.

Sounds cheesy but one year I gave my man a homemade coupon book full of stuff that I normally grumble about having to do. You know like make his favorite meal, foot rub, washing his car. I put a couple more fun ones in there too so we both enjoyed it.
