Yes, they can swim, but no they don't like to. In a famous example in 1977, President Jimmy Carter caught some heck for swatting water from his canoe at a rabbit that was swimming towards his canoe after it fled from a predator. It was referred to as the "Killer Rabbit" incident and can be seen online with photo at: http://www.narsil.org/politics/carter/killer_rabbit.html
If you want to try it, and I have bathed a pet rabbit before...you set your water temperature to lukewarm and fill it no more than 1/2 way up the height of your rabbit.

Rabbits only swim in emergencies, like a flood. if you put them in a tub chances are you will stress them out and send them into shock. This is an incredibly bad idea. I suggest you read the House Rabbit Handbook and go to these websites.

In an emergency, particular, they might swim. in spite of the shown fact that, being positioned right into a physique of water is fairly annoying for ninety 9.ninety 9% of bunnies, and fairly some will pass into ask your self or have a heart attack and die. do on no account positioned your rabbit right into a pool, bath, or the different physique of water.

Rabbits can swim just like cats and dogs can, but do not like the water much. It is really not necessary, unless he/she is very dirty and you need to get the dirt out. If by any chance you do, the temp should be warm, "NOT HOT" just warm. They are very, very sensitive to both ,very hot, or very cold temp/weather. But like I said before, if you do have to bathe him/her. I would not do it. The can also cause the animal much stress and give heavy dandruff. I run a rabbit rescue. My sister is a vet, so I know what I am talking about. Thank You :-)

i think that they can swim but i think that they are like cats and don't like to swim but if they were in danger then i think that they would swim.....i mean wouldn't you? just kidding. and the water had to be warm water at all times!!!!!!!! or they will easily get sick. and i think that you should test it out when my rabbit was bleeding i had to wash him and he didn't seem to mind so i don't think that it would be a problem. just make sure that the water is warm 100% of the time! and also make sure that the water is not to high so they wont drown

Please don't listen to the people who are telling you that this is ok! Because it's not! Rabbits should never be put in water, unless you absolutely have to to wash it. (Even then, you would only put about 1 inch of water, and be very careful about it). If you put your rabbit in a tub with water, he/she could drown, and I can almost guarantee that you will FREAK your rabbit out. It is not worth the risk for your own curiosity.
Please think about their safety first!
