I'm just curious. If MeMyselfandIverson come to town, Melo probably won't get the ball as much. His fantasy stats will take a hit too...right?

I don't see any way that 'Melo and Iverson can both average 30+ point a game. I expect Carmelo to be somewhere around 26 to 28 and Iverson around 24 to 26. If anything this will help Carmelo find more open shots. It will be tougher to double team him and I think his FG% will go up so he will keep his point total up in the high 20's even though he will take 6 or so fewer shots a game. Iverson is a decent passer when he needs to. Despite his selfish reputation I think he wants to win more than anything else so I expect him to fall in line with minimal distractions. But there would be no pint trading for him if you weren't going to unleash his scoring.

well, i think he'll probably slow down at little, to about 28 or 29 ppg. for all those who forgot, the karl-coached bucks of a few years ago had ray allen, glenn robinson, and sam (never learned what "pass" means) cassell all averaged over 20 ppg for the season. so for all those who say that those two can't each average close to 30 a night, you're stupid and wrong. the nuggets don't need to score 30 more, but maybe 5-10 more, cuz iverson will take the points that miller and smith were scoring, and karl can now scheme for more running and stuff that iverson can do that miller couldn't. iverson is a great passer, but he didn't have anyone to pass to in philly. defenders will have to sag off melo more with iverson getting to the rim, and so he'll have more open shots, so his FG% should go up

I think that you can almost bet that Melo's production is going to go down, at least if the Nuggets are going to achieve any success this season. Yes, his fantasy stats will proabably go down as well, but I think Iverson's may go up. I don't think Iverson is going to sacrifice too much, and if he does, he proabably goes from 2nd top scorer in the league to 6th. Melo might go to 11th or worse, but I think if you really want someone for your fantasy team, take Gilbert Arenas, no, it's not too late, and Jamison is another good pick. Yao Ming's fantasy stats should go up too, since McGardy is always getting injured.

Yes, there is no way both Carmelo Anthony and Allen Iverson are both gonna score as much as they did when they were on separate teams. If they both score 30+ points/game and add that on to the amount of points the rest of the team makes, then they would be a higher scoring team than the Suns, and that isn't gonna happen.

Well, we have not seen Iverson play with another superstar so it is hard to know what he will work like with Carmelo. He should go into Denver knowing that it is Carmelo's team and when he comes back from his suspension he is still the team leader. But I do think that because Iverson will be there at all Carmelo's numbers although maybe not significantly, may go down.

I don't necessarily agree with you. Iverson wants a championship period. He's learned in Philadelphia that he needs a "Scottie Pippen" which is why I feel he went to Denver. I think Iverson wanted to play with Melo, they seem to be a good fit with their attitudes and game play. I think if he wanted to be a one man team he would have went elsewhere. Everyone knows that Melo was the Franchise man.

no, it is actually going to increase.
think about it.
with iverson handling the ball, melo will get more shots because of the iverson distraction factor. teams will have to decide who to double team-iverson or melo? and if they double team both, thats three more people with open shots.

Yes, that's how it works. It has to balance out. There's no way that the Nuggets are gonna score 30 extra points to the team total ppg.
