We really don't have enough information. What kind of business are you in?

When I sold high end exotic cars I once gave a good customer a hatchback for his teenager to learn to drive in.

Obviously, that wouldn't be appropriate if you're her grocer.

Are you in a business where you could give her an upgrade in your product?

When in doubt a nice potted plant or a fruit basket is always safe.

I think for a client a gift card would do wonders! Get her an Ulta card, or Bath and Body Works, you know, something girly. This way you don't have to worry about her no liking what you get her. She can bu it herself. Believe me, it truly is the best gift! :)

Candles are always great. They're impersonal enough to where it wont be inappropriate, but they're friendly enough that it will make her smile. Go to any candle store (Yankee Candle & Pier 31 are my favorites), or u can even do slightly cheaper but still great quality at Wal Mart/Target, and pick out a few scented candle pillars and bases/holders to rest them on. Arrange them in a nice basket with some pouporri and scented oils, and there you go! She'll love it. May i suggest something in a warm vanilla or jasmine scent. Good luck!

A gift basket. FTD or a local florist or gift shop can design one for you. We have a "candy florist" here and they do GREAT work, I believe I saw some decents ones at Overstock.com as well.

Don't be afraid to ask the clerk!

Can't go wrong with food! A nice basket of candies, chocolates, fruits or meats. There are plenty of themes/combinations to choose from. Or maybe a nice bottle of wine with a thank you card.
