I would let him have it personally. "Do you enjoy being a jerk or does it just come naturally" or something like that. I love arguments with jerks.

I'd tell him he'd better step aside and get to the back of the line, that we all waited and now he has to wait too.

Tell him (if its a guy) that his cucumber has left the salad (that his barn door is open and the giraffe is peeking out). He will be too embarrased at this happening, or that he was fooled, and leave you alone.
