Some game you can just stick in the 360 and they will play. For others you will need to hook your 360 to the internet and download a patch for it.

^Wrong. The 360 does not have the emulation build in because it is not a hardware emulator. It's a software emulator, so developers have to write the software emu for the game in order for it to be played on the 360.

To answer your question, you will need a hard drive if you want to play XBX games. Connect to XBL and you should get an automatic update with the latest patch. If you don't have XBL, you can download the patch, burn it to a CD, and then load it on your 360. Just go to www.xbox.com and do a search for backward compatibility, and you should be able to go from there. You should be able to find the link that lists all the XBX games that are currently playable on the 360, and you should also find the link to download the latest patch.

I don't know about signs but to play the Xbox games on the 360 you have to go on line and down load the emulators (software) for playing those games. If you use your PC or laptop, you'll have to burn a CD and then put it in your 360. If you use your 360 Live, then you can load the emulators directly. each down load will do a certain number of games. Go to the Xbox360 site and see which game emulators are available.

Uh you don't download emulators for the360. The system itself has the emulator built in. They have to just add to it more and more games. You must have the Premium system with the hard drive. The Core is not able to do backwards compatibility. The list gets updated periodically or you can order the disc from Microsoft of update games. It is much easier to download and have the system upgrade itself though.
