99 + (9/9) = 100

The first two 9s make the tens and units of the number 99.
Then you put 9/9 in brackets to show you work this part of the sum out first, although you actually don't have to as BIDMAS means than you divide before you add it helps if you do. This works out as 1.
99 + 1 = 100.

81+ 9 = 90
90 + 9 = 99.
9/9= 1,

99 + 1 = 100

My stepdaughter would do it like this:

9+9=17, 17*9=142, then take away the other 9 to leave 100.
