True. I think people do answer because it is one way of getting close to celebrity...

The only celebrity Richard H. I can think of is Richard Hell, of Television fame.

I would think that a lot of celebrities would be entering a snake pit by posting questions here.

Best question I've seen on here all year.

I HATE those celebrity questions. It's free publicity for the celeb and their film/book/ego, Yahoo! think it looks 'cool' as it involves 'famous' people, and some Answers users seem to think the celebrity will read their answer and be so impressed they'll contact them and profess undying love.

Whenever I've posted a response to a celeb question and been even slightly tongue in cheek the answer is whipped off before you can say 'violation'. Jonathan Ross's was the worst. My answers were taken off almost before I'd posted them. And they weren't rude in anyway!

To be honest I'm surprised Yahoo! have let you keep this question up.

Oooh. bees, bonnets!

I have never heard of Richard H

Have you read some of the responses? Half of them are pointing out what a joke that celebrity is and how bogus their question is. I'm surprised Yahoo doesn't delete them. Leslie Stahl's question has a lot of answers that basically say "you are part of the problem". Ha!

Yes we should pander to their fragile little egoes.
It's a celebrity's duty to pass off what they've been told to say as their own opinion. If the vacuous little twerps weren't doing this, they'd no longer be entertaining for the rest of us. (Think: a puppet with the strings cut. Slightly tragic, but not much fun).

Cheers.

You sure hit the nail on it`s head! Why would someone want to answer? To be one of about 2000 answers that that person probably won`t read and certainly won`t vote on. Give me regular YA people any time.

It would be better if they asked questions like: Was my acting useful in that last film?
