I responded to a "the sky is falling" question by pointing out that Al Sadr is showing signs of returning to the political process. I was imediately blasted with a comment from a liberal that he is just preparing his army for a final offensive of some kind.
What is it about some people that immediately look for the worst case senerio? Yes Al Sadr ending his violence won't completely end this debacle, but it will sure help. It might mean fewer Americans will lose their lives in this war.
Why are some people looking for the bad in the good instead of the other way around?

Al Sadr has suck neocons in like this before, he knows how to play "the game".
Sadr will only do things that will benefit his cause- returning to the political process, outnumbered 6:1 is not in his favor!

Well not to defend a Liberal, but I don't trust any of the Arabs in control. Look at Yasser Arafat he been speaking out of both sides of his mouth for years. That's why I think we need to start paying attention to actions not words. If one of these guys tells us he wants peace and violence continues to happen, especially in the country were this guy is a dictator, he does not get another chance, he does not pass go, and he does not collect $200. We then do everything diplomatically in power to persuade him to follow a path that leads to peace, if he does not and the violence in his country begins to spill outside his borders then we take action.

I think that with their power rising, the US should work with the Shia of Iraq and Iran to promote harmony and peace in the middle east.

Because the lunitic left wants us to "lose" in the middle east.
They want to see this strife continue just so they can point one of their fingers and say "see, I told you so".
