I'm pro working out an agreement between Israel and Palestine. I would love to see more understanding in the middle east in which all the countries were able to live together. I wish Israel the best and hope no more wars there at all.
Peace in the middle east.

The Zionist movement is no more. It had his heyday in the first part of the XXth century when Jews were persecuted everywhere. In 1917 Chaim Weizmann went to London to meet the Government and Mr Balfour agreed to him that "the Jews would be given a national home after the war". After the war, they were given nothing because the Arabs opposed it vehemently, they did not want a national Jewish state on their land in Palestine. And they were right even if the Jews had been living there as a nation 2500 years earlier. Because if you leave a house and your descendants come back 2000 years later and claim it, it is likely that there will be some opposition and troubles.
Nevertheless the Jews after the Holocaust decided that enough was enough and justly considered that they could not trust nobody and that they need their "national home", so they declare the independence of the part of Palestine they had been colonizing since the early 1900s. Of course the Arabs were furious and declared war. One can understand them, more so because the Jews have not always been very nice to the original Arab settlers.
For your information, you must know that even at the peak of the heated issue of Zionism, the Jewish community was divided about the question of Zionism. Some like Victor Klemperer in Germany who wrote two magnificent books thought that Zionism would bring a Fascist State. In some respects, he was right as we see today... But the English never reneged on their promises of 1917 and in 1948 abandoned their mandate over Palestine. Some days later, the Zionists declared the independence of Israel...

I am neutral on it... I don't see why people insist on accelerating the inevitable (as if it could be accelerated by human efforts). While Israel was promised/given the land thousands of years ago and the Book of Revelations clearly shows them owning their land at the end... I don't think the Zionist movement will really impact the timetable of God.
