That's a good question. I just saw a commercial for some cat food flavored after an italian dish. I think that it's because the marketers are selling the food to the pet owner and it sounds more appealing to a person.

No one ever wants to find out what mouse tastes like. Especially after they already have beef flavor, which are cat's natural food source.

I think there should be a butt flavored cat food. They sure seem to like the flavor.

I don't think cats really like the taste of mouse...it's more of the "hunt and play " than a need to eat.

It IS mouse flavored. There is mouse flavored, and BBQ flavored. My cat tells me these things.....I'm not crazy, I SWEAR.

Cats don't really eat mouse, they just go play with it. Snakes do.

I would suspect that it kind of is...I'm not sure how clean those cat food factories have to be. One or 2 might get "caught up" in production.
