How old are you? Your parents need to be slapped. Talk to your school nurse and see if she/he can help you out. You need to get this checked out.

When I was a teen, both myself and many of my friends were extremely irregular at times. I never had my period for a month, but I know someone who did...and she's perfectly fine now.

However, I do agree that you should seek help. A school nurse is a great idea. If you go to a small school and don't have one, try a female guidance counselor or teacher (preferably in health or science field!) that you can trust. You could also try calling a Planned Parenthood. I believe they can help with all types of female issues, not just sex or pregnancy related.

The main thing is to know you are not alone, there are lots of teenage girls absolutely bewildered by their own bodies...I know, I was one not too long ago

If it hasnt been a month straight then its ok. Many people will have a normal cycle then the body will cleanse itself for a while if needed. If it isnt a brown tint and it is still red then you should have a friend take you to a clinic like Planned Parenthood. Planned Parenthood is NOT just for pregnant peolpe hey will help you with tons of different "female issues". As long as you are at least 12 they will not contact your parents. Good Luck

A friend of mine had her period for 27 days. Although it definitely was not fun, she was completely fine afterward. But just to make sure you should call your doctor because there is possibility that your body is trying to tell you that something's not right.

Don't worry though, most likely it will be very long now and then you won't even have to deal with it for a few months.

Other factors to consider: When you first started your periods, diet, exercise, etc.

Not knowing how old you are or what your activities consist of it makes it hard to say why you are doing this.
I know that as a young person some periods are a mess, short, long, hard or just an annoyance. If you are doing alot of lifting this could be a factor. If you are on birthcontrol pills that could be a reason. You need to talk to your mom--not just say she has refused to take you to a doctor---open up.

If your parents won't take you to the doctor's...they're idiots. Go to webmd.com and read what they have to say about it. They're usually very accurate! I would definitely talk to a school nurse or just make a doctor's appointment yourself. You can always call and just ask to speak to a doctor because you don't know if it's serious enough to get checked out or not.

Ive had that problem before, and so have alot of my girl friends, its really nothing to be worried about, sometimes it just happens for what ever reason, hormones outta wack. As long as your not feeling any abnormal pains you're fine, but if your feelings weird pains in your stomach or kidney area then I would bring it up again, You can always go to a school nurse if your that worried and they will contact your parents saying its serious.

it must be Endometriosis, Ovarian Cysts or Fibroids.. Your Gynae can verify all concerns. frequently with keyhole surgical operation noted as a Laparoscopy which includes a incision hollow under your bellybutton . They fill your abdomen with gas to get a clean view of your reproductive organs with a digicam they insert interior the bellybutton incision. the operation takes around 45mins for directly forward surgical operation. you would be unconcious throughout surgical operation. you will sense discomfort and discomforf for a week or 2 after the surgical operation. and you will fart up a typhoon liberating the gas on your abdomen. i hit upon Pepermint works quite nicely as does DeGas pills.

If you have a planned parenthood in your area they should be able to see you w/out a parent. Just call them and they can tell you what to do. or you can always go to the emergency room.
