No, unfortunately there aren't too many fish that can go with goldfish.
Goldfish are coldwater fish and need water temperature of around 65-72F.
Most other fish commonly found in petstores are tropical fish (this includes gouramis, tetras, rasboras, angels, pleco, etc etc) and need water temp of 75-80F.
If you want both, you'd be best off with one goldfish tank and one tropical community tank.

White cloud mountain minnows and dojo loaches, IF you have a big tank. You need 10-15 gallons per goldfish, and more for other fish after that. Plus, overfiltration helps. What I mean is, for a goldfish tank, if it is a 55 gallon tank, you would want to run two filters rated for 40 to 60 gallons each, or one rated for maybe 90 or more, to deal with all their waste products. This results in a cleaner, healthier tank. Also, you have to do weekly water changes in a goldfish tank, of at least 25-30%. If you can't meet these criteria, don't add any other fish until you can upgrade, IMO.

connect a Yahoo-group that makes a speciality of fish or goldfish. I belong to numerous and get stable advice. As for Oscars. No. Pirhanas No. chinese language algae eaters are a very very undesirable thought. They quit eating algae after a on the same time as and could devour the slime coat on the factor of your goldfish and open them as much as a threat of an infection. I even have seen this take place first hand to goldfish with chinese language algae eaters. at last your goldfish will outgrow your ten gallon aquarium. common goldfish gets 12 inches long or larger.

Probably only other goldfish. But if your idea of goldfish is like what mine was, there are actually a variety of them (i.e. koi, but they grow to very large sizes). You could go to a fish specialty store to see the different kinds.

Anything that isn't aggressive or small enough to fit in your Goldy's mouth!
A lot of other fish require a heater and filter. I have Goldy's in my aquarium for the purpose of killing snails and the heat doesn't bother them.
