I removed a small (one sink vanity size) glued on bathroom mirror and discovered the builder had used disks - there were 5 of them for the small mirror - impossible to pry off - so I taped the mirror to the moon and had to break it using a large metal ruler to get it off...now I want to remove a large glued on mirror (two sink vanity size) - I'm assuming it is held on the same way - if there were 5 disks on the small one - there has to be at least double that for the large one...no way would I be able to control it as easily by breaking/prying like I did the small one - any ideas???? Is there some type of glue dissolver that I could try and pour behind it? I'm at a loss and REALLY want to get rid of the stupid mirror!!
HELP!!! Thanks in advance for any/all advise.

i have heard you can use picture wire to saw through the silicone adhesive. also heard dental floss. i would call a glass company and get advice. i wouldn't try to pour anything down behind it because if it can dissolve silicone it would likely do bad things to your wall. also, cover the floor really well so if it breaks, you get all of the glass shards out of the bathroom when you are done. i suppose you could score the mirror with a glass cutting wheel and duct tape the heck out of it the same as before if all else fails.

gloves(leather) long sleeves eye wear shims 1 or 2 helpers tape every inch of the mirror with duct tape using wood shims slowly tap in the shims behind the mirror take your time don't get in a hurry the glue will release as you continue to insert and double and triple and quad the shims if it breaks use a razorknife to cut the tape and remove the broken peice home depot or lowes website sells those suction devices but they only rate at 12 pounds so I would not suggest them you can always call the glass co. 150 to 200 bucks another way is to take piano wire insert behind the mirror and saw through the glue, but who has that laying around the house right

I think you can do the same with this one...Tape it in 12" to 16" sections. Like panels. When you break it it will be in sections. If you can get your hands on a regular brick trowel it is thin and will reach in farther behind the glass... Good luck, be careful.. ( Brick trowel: the triangular trowel that the brick masons use) I didn't think you were stupid. Sometimes I forget that not everybody knows what the hell I am talking about....
